11/12/2022 0 Comments Expert gps delete a waypointUnfortunately this script is way over my head. Both of the files contain the needed, and elements. There are only a few minor differences in the gpx files. The only difference is the format of the 2 gpx files are slightly different. I haven't changed the script or anything. It should have the ~ in front of 3 of the names and 3 of the names should be unchanged. When I run the script, it only places the "tilde" (~) in front of only 1 waypoint name. This gpx file has 3 original waypoints and duplicates of each of the 3 waypoints for a total of 6 waypoints. The script worked perfectly on a previous file but for this gpx file it's not giving me the output I'm looking for. IĪm including a sample gpx file and the script I am using. I changed the file name to "Original" and have the output file named "Original - Dupes Grouped.gpx". That has the same Latitude AND Longitude, it doesn't matter if theĭuplicate has a different name "" or symbol "sym". For my purpose, a duplicate waypoint "" is one Waypoint unchanged and just have the "tilde" added to the names of theĭuplicates. I would like to leave the first occurrence of the Like to have a "tilde" (~) added to the beginning of the name forĮach duplicate. I am trying to change the name of any duplicate waypoints "" in the file. I used it on another file and it's not giving me the desired results. I asked the question previously and "Mike In IT" graciously provided a script that worked perfectly on the file I was using.
